Corporate & Social Responsibility

Newton & Frost Fencing Ltd is extremely proud to have its roots set firmly in the rural community, with its head offices nestled in the beautiful Wealden countryside just outside of the South Downs National Park. These surroundings are a constant reminder to all of us of the importance of ensuring that we create a legacy that benefits the environment, enhances the wellbeing of our employees, and creates a positive impact within local communities.

Education & Training

Training
We offer training and mentorship that allows career development opportunity for all employees.

Wealden Works
Director & Senior Management level involvement in local charity. The charity offers both work and life skills, to young persons, helping them with mentorships, training, work placements and qualifications, giving them the tools and confidence to move forwards in their lives.

Heathfield Partnership

Director involvement in community organisation who, throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, has distributed a significant number of laptops to families to allow their children to continue with their education in the virtual environment.

Traineeships
We are currently working with East Sussex College to prepare traineeships for people throughout the country. This will give them the training that they require to allow them to begin a career in the fencing industry.

Charity Support

Volunteer Days
Employees are able to take volunteer days to help out within the local communities. This is not limited to our own projects, but can also be through a commitment via main contractors.

Charity Fundraising
The Company encourages and promotes employees individual fundraising ventures.

Wellbeing

Mental Health Support  We offer a 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme which is available to all employees and their families.

Cycle to Work Scheme
Our head office is rurally situated between two market towns originally linked by a railway. With the railway now gone, the track bed now forms part of the National Cycle Network, making the Cycle to Work Scheme a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative for our employees to travel to their place of work.
